Following on from HMRC announcing that VAT Payments do not need to be paid between 20th March 2020 and 30th June 2020, they have added to their guidance that although you do not need to apply for this relief, you will have to manually cancel your direct debit at your bank.

If you do not cancel your direct debit in advance of the next collection date, HMRC will still collect the amount so if you will require the cash flow of missing a payment then please cancel your direct debit as soon as possible.

Please note that any VAT payments that you do not pay during this period are accumulated and need to be paid in full to HMRC by 5th April 2021.
